Tips for the BEST Valentine’s Day

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to love Valentine’s Day. A day to celebrate love! Love for your friends, love for your spouse or significant other, and love for your family. I wanted to share with you the BEST gift ideas, BEST date ideas, and the BEST Galentines activities to help you learn to LOVE this holiday too!

THE BEST GIFT IDEAS:

The Night Sky // This is such a special gift! I got my husband one of these for Christmas last year. In short, you enter a date, time, and location and it creates this stunning map of the stars in that exact moment. It’s a great reminder of the day your heart skipped a beat!

DateBox // Everything you need for a date night at home! Use code CNHEATHCOCK50 for 50% off your first box!

Getaway Escape // The perfect escape! Use code COURTNEYH25 for $25 off!

Couple’s Bucket List // This is a fun little gift for you to do together!

THE BEST DATE NIGHT IDEAS:

DateBox // Everything you need for a date night at home! You can get a monthly, 3-month, or 6-month subscription. Use code CNHEATHCOCK50 for 50% off your first box!

Bowling // This is a fun competitive option and it’s on the cheaper side for a date night.

Dave and Busters // Another competitive option that always makes us feel like kids again. Chuck-E-Cheese for adults! What’s not to love?! You can also eat here if you want to do a two-in-one date.

Movie Night in // I always love a night in, cozied up on the couch, with the best movie night snacks! This is a great option if you both live really busy lifestyles and often forget to rest. It’s slow and relaxing but can still be really special.

Progressive Dinner Date // This is more of an adventure! If you’re not familiar with a progressive dinner, here’s the rundown. You go to one restaurant for appetizers, another for the entre, and another for dessert. It’s really fun and a great way to try new places!

Recreate Your First Date // This is for the sentimental type! Recreate your first date and reminisce of how far you’ve come as a couple.

THE BEST GALENTINES DAY IDEAS:

Vision Boards // Creating vision boards together is so much fun! We’re still close enough to the new year to dream about 2020! Bring out the posterboards, stickers, magazines, glue, scissors, and whatever else you want because the options are endless. You can add an additional bit of fun to the night by making it a pajama party!

Favorite Things Party // These are usually done around Christmas time but could also be a fun addition to a girl’s night! In a nutshell, everyone brings their favorite things. You establish a budget ($5-10 per favorite thing), everyone brings a favorite thing for each person at the party, and then you exchange favorite things and leave with one of everyone’s favorite things! It’s so much fun and a great way to try new products!

Scavenger Hunt // Talk about a throwback! Did anyone else do these all the time when they were in high school or jr. high?! You can create Valentine’s Day-themed scavenger hunt, a generic one, or even google one specific to your city. These add a competitive element and you split into teams! It’s almost always full of laughs, photo evidence of the fun, and so many great memories!

Galentines Day Brunch // In true Leslie Knope fashion, host a brunch! You could even do it potluck style where everyone brings a dish.

What’s your favorite way to celebrate with your girl friends?! Share it in the comments.

  1. These are all such cute Valentine’s Day ideas! Love!! My husband and I tend to go for low key date nights in on Valentine’s day, but I would love to have a Galentine’s Day celebration with my girlfriends one year. Love the favorite things party, and actually would love to combine it with a Valentine’s Day brunch ❤

  2. Wow, I really love the progressive dinner date idea, I’ve never heard of that before! My hubby and I rarely get out since our baby was born, so trying 3 restaurants in one night would really make up for lost time!

  3. These are fun ideas! I actually really like the Dave and Buster’s suggestion. We’re a little stuck on what to do this year because they always charge a ton at the nice restaurants on Valentine’s Day – so this would be a neat alternative!
